Ghana Shia Community Call For #FreeZakzaky

Ghana Shia Community Call For #FreeZakzaky

*In the Name of the Most High*

The office of Majma’ Ahlil Bait (A.S)Ghana, wishes to express its dissatisfaction towards the continues illegal detention of some Nigerian Shi’a citizens together with the Leader of the Shi’a Community in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Yaqub Zakzaky (may Allah continue to protect them all), by the Nigerian government.
Today, Wednesday the 26th April 2017, marks *five hundred (500)days* since the detention began, and the government seem adamant about the issue.
Meanwhile, a Federal High Court in Abuja, has since 2nd December 2016, issued a court order for the release of the cleric, to which the government did not pay heed.
As the governing body of the country, it is expected of it to be the front-runners in law abiding in the country. Unfortunately, the vice versa is what was witnessed of the Nigerian government by the world.
The killing of close to 1000 unarmed civilians is not an issue to be looked down upon.
On the other side of the world, for instance, whenever one person is killed, the whole world rises against it and make headlines in all the mainstream media, as well as the social media. Why then is the world silent against this injustice meted at the poor people of Nigeria?!
We, by this, condemn the unfortunate reaction of the Nigerian government, and call on the International Community, Human Rights activists and all sincere citizens of the world, to rise up against this injustice against humanity and call the Nigerian government to order.
Again, we call on the Nigerian government to respect and abide by the rule of law and release the unlawfully detained citizens, and bring the offenders to book and punish them accordingly.

Sheikh Mohammad Abu Jaja
*President, Majmah Ahlulbait(AS) Ghana*
